Description
La presente colección de ejemplares corresponde a macroalgas del intermareal rocoso del Partido de Lobería, Provincia de Buenos Aires, Argentina. El sustrato duro del intermareal de Lobería se corresponde con sedimentos loéssicos y Tosca de la Formación Pampeana. La caracterización de la ficoflora del intermareal de Lobería se llevó a cabo en 3 sitios representativos de sustratos duros con muestreos estacionales entre 2022 y 2023, en el marco del Proyecto ImpaCT.AR 33: Planificación Integral del frente costero del partido de Lobería: desarrollo de un prototipo regional dirigido por el Dr. Germán García y por el proyecto en el marco de la iniciativa Pampa Azul: Ecosistemas costeros de la Provincia de Buenos Aires: Funcionamiento y efectos antrópicos sobre la estructura, funciones y servicios ecosistémicos en un contexto de cambio climático dirigido por el Dr. Oscar Iribarne. Las macroalgas de los Phyla Chlorophyta, Rhodophyta y Heterokontophyta (Clase Phaeophyceae) colectadas brindan un importante aporte al estado del conocimiento de la ficoflora del Dominio Subtropical, Provincia Uruguayo-Bonaerense (sensu Kühnemann, 1972).
