Description
La Colección Ictiológica (CI) de la Fundación Miguel Lillo (FML) se encuentra entre las colecciones con mayor número de ejemplares y mayor diversidad de especies de peces en Argentina, incluyendo 279 géneros, 581 especies y alrededor de 57.247 ejemplares. En ella se encuentran depositados material de carácter histórico con casi 100 años de conservación. Además se encuentran representantes de la mayoría de las provincias de Argentina, como así también casi todos los países de Sudamérica, incluyendo a Bolivia, Brasil, Chile, Colombia, Paraguay, Perú, Uruguay, Venezuela, Trinidad y Tobago; también material proveniente de Camerún. La colección está actualmente curada por el Dr. Gastón Aguilera.
